Chinese-taught undergraduate

Chinese Language undergraduate study requires HSK Level 4 at 180 points; other humanities/social-science bachelor’s routes require HSK Level 6 at 180, and science/engineering routes HSK Level 5 at 210. Native Chinese speakers or graduates of Chinese-medium study may request exemption. The 2026 undergraduate application requires the CSCA subjects specified for the major; eligible Chinese Language applicants may be exempt from the Chinese paper.

Undergraduate study normally lasts four years. The 2026 Chinese-taught undergraduate catalogue lists tuition of RMB 24,000, 26,000 or 30,000 per academic year, depending on the major. Global BBA costs RMB 36,000 per academic year. The non-refundable degree application fee is RMB 800.

Accommodation

Housing applications follow the university’s booking arrangements after admission. Off-campus residents must register their temporary residence within 24 hours of moving in. RUC campuses include Zhongguancun, Tongzhou and Suzhou; the programme determines the study location.

Chinese Government Scholarship

For the 2026 CSC Type B High-Level Postgraduate route, the RUC application was due by 15 February and qualification review ended on 27 February, earlier than the general graduate deadlines. A separate CSC Type B application is required using agency number 10002. Type A applications go through the applicant’s home-country dispatching authority, which sets its own deadline.

Recommendations and undergraduate additions

Graduate applicants need two recommendations from professors or associate professors. Global BBA applicants need one high-school recommendation and CSCA Mathematics in English. Underage undergraduate applicants provide the required China-based guardian evidence; prospective graduate applicants must receive their degree before the specified enrolment deadline.
