Course requirements
General admission requirements published in October 2024: For the master's route, ZZU states that applicants must be non-Chinese citizens under 40, healthy, with no criminal record, and have obtained a bachelor's degree. Chinese-taught applicants need new HSK 5 or above or equivalent Chinese; English-taught applicants do not need Chinese proof and should come from an English-speaking country or provide IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 or equivalent English proficiency. The stated annual application period is January 1 to June 30. Required materials include the ZZU international student degree-program application form, passport, undergraduate diploma and bachelor's degree certificate or expected graduation proof, full undergraduate transcripts, HSK certificate where applicable, two recommendation letters from associate professors or professors, Foreigner Physical Examination Form, financial guarantee or bank deposit proof, and no-criminal-record proof.

The 2024 English medical-programme table separately lists insurance RMB 800/year, books RMB 600/academic year and medical examination RMB 400/time.

Main-campus category A and east-campus twin rooms are RMB 30/day and single rooms RMB 60/day. Main-campus category B twin rooms are RMB 15/day and single rooms RMB 30/day. Campus rooms are limited; the medical guide permits off-campus accommodation under the applicable arrangements.
