The 2026 undergraduate window ran from 14 November 2025 to 31 March 2026 and has closed. Assessment was scheduled for April–May, with decisions in June–July.

Applicants must be healthy foreign citizens with a valid ordinary passport and a high-school qualification; prospective graduates must finish by July 2026. Undergraduate study lasts four years and is taught in Chinese. HSK Level 5 or above is required; native Chinese speakers and graduates of Chinese-medium high schools may request exemption.

The 2026 undergraduate application requires CSCA scores in Science Chinese, Mathematics, and either Physics or Chemistry.

For the 2026 undergraduate route, former residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan who acquired foreign nationality must have done so before 30 April 2022, renounced Chinese nationality, and lived abroad for at least two years between 30 April 2022 and 30 April 2026. Nine months abroad counts as one year. Applicants with a Chinese parent at birth must also provide the nationality evidence specified by USTC.

Undergraduate tuition is RMB 26,000 per academic year; standard master’s tuition is RMB 30,000 per academic year and doctoral tuition RMB 35,000 per academic year. The MBA fee is RMB 150,000 per student for the programme.

Comprehensive medical insurance costs RMB 800 per year, separately from tuition.

Dormitory charges are approximately RMB 500–1,000 per month, depending on the room. Scholarship accommodation support depends on the award category.

Required documents include the application form, ordinary passport, notarized high-school certificate and transcripts, HSK or exemption evidence, CSCA results, medical examination form and a high-school recommendation. Applicants under 18 on 1 September 2026 also need a declaration from a guardian in Hefei with a stable source of livelihood; specified nationality cases require nationality and travel records.
